"Very good modern hotel"
Situated next to the Leiden railway station in a very modern building, this hotel was a great choice. All the staff were polite and efficient. The room was spacious, clean and interestingly furnished. Possibly over designed, but good fun for a night or two. We got a great rate that included a two course meal in the 12th floor restaurant. The food was excellent, the service was friendly and first class. To cap it all, there's a great view through full-height windows. Definitely worth the experience, especially if you can get an inclusive rate. All in all, highly recommended.

"Modern, great views and PERFECT for using public transport"
The room was very lovely. Great view over the city of Leiden and the walk-in rain-shower was finished in modern style. The convenience of being right at the station, but still high up on the 10th floor meant you do not hear the trains. The lovely restaurant and bar on the 12th floor has awesome views and great cocktails!

"Godd location"
I chose the hotel because of its location. It's just outside the train station, which is very convenient. However, I didn't like the air-conditioning system which allows you only to put plus or minus 3 degrees, which was not enough for me during winter days. In general it was clean, but I'd work more on dust sweeping - you could see lots of it in many places. Big plus was quietness of the room. Breakfast was ok, tasty and choice was good.

"Is it a hotel?"
Stayed here for 1 night. It's just out side the train station. The rooms are on the 9-11th floor. The breakfast on the 2nd floor. Reception is a small room on the ground floor. Check in was efficient. After check in you go out of this small reception room and out in the huge public hall to get the right elevator. Not all elevators go to every floor. If you get a room on the 'wrong' floor you have to change elevators to go to breakfast. Also, didn't like the idea that anyone could take the elevator up to the rooms without passing the reception. The room itself was ok. Modern look and ok space. Wifi was not available in my room. The cleaning didn't seem that good. Dust many places and sink in bathroom didn't look clean. Bed was ok and slept well. Breakfast was 16 euros extra. Breakfast buffet was good, as it should be for 16 euros. It was ok for 1 night, but probably not a place I would stay again. Didn't really have any hotel atmosphere.

Leiden

Leiden

Leiden is sometimes known as the key city of the Netherlands – a nickname which the student city attributes to its coat of arms. The old and picturesque centre of Leiden is characterised by many sights, great shops, interesting museums, historic buildings and small historic streets where you can happily stroll and browse. An ideal destination for lovers of history, art and culture, but certainly also a suitable destination for walkers or cyclists. The city is an ideal departure and arrival point for countless walking or cycle routes.

Museums

The student city of Leiden is also absolutely a museum city. It has four state museums. Pay a visit to the Rijksmuseum van Oudheden with its impressive collection of antiquities from ancient Egypt and to admire the Greek and Roman worlds, or head to Museum Boerhaave if you’re interested in science. Museum Boerhaave is also known as the national treasury for 400 years of scientific development, and is certainly worth the effort for those wanting to know more about the history of science. Naturalis Leiden is a natural history museum in the centre of Leiden, dedicated entirely to the splendid fauna and flora which abounds in our country.

Directions & Parking
